This is the Patch CD 1 for SLES 8 (PowerPC).

Contraindications

Problem description

This is the rollup of all already released patches for SLES 8
(PowerPC).
To install, insert the CD, start YaST2, select the "Patch CD Update"
option. Make sure that the Installation Source points to the CD image
and not to the Maintenance Web (use "Expert Mode" to select "CD" as
URL Type).

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

The images can be written to a blank CD-R. To do that on a Linux system, we recommend to use the program cdrecord. A sample command line to cdrecord looks like this:


cdrecord dev=0,4,0 -v -eject -speed=4 SLES8-ppc-PatchCD-1.iso

Please adjust the values for dev and speed according to your system.
