Problem description

This update for MozillaFirefox fixes several security related bugs:
  • do not allow http documents to load images from file via <IMG>
  • stop spoofing of filenames in dialog box
  • text fields give access to users clipboard (GTK)
  • background tabs can steal focus
  • additionally several crashes were fixed
These bugs may be remotely exploitable to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running MozillaFirefox or to steal confidential information.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh MozillaFirefox.rpm
