Indications

Install this if you have a machine with Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 that hangs on
boot.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

This patch disables the kernel module for Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 cards on
AMD64 platforms, as it may prevent the OS from booting on those systems.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh wireless-tools.rpm
