Problem description

specially crafted GIF files could cause a buffer overflow in the printer filter for image files (CVE-2008-1373).
specially crafted files could cause a buffer overflow in the HP-GL/2 printer filter (CVE-2008-0053).

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fhv cups.rpm  cups-client.rpm  cups-devel.rpm  cups-libs.rpm
