Problem description

The attr library on SLES9, which is used by cp, mv, and a few other tools,
interacts badly with SGI DMF: Hierarchical Storage management attributes are
preserved when copying/moving files. This update to the attr library fixes
these problems.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh attr.rpm
