Problem description

This update installs the latest microcode for Intel processors. It updates the
userspace program that is used to load the microcode to 1.17 and the microcode
data file to 20070815. If you have an Intel CPU, you should install that
update.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh microcode_ctl.rpm
