Patch: patch-11620
Release: 20071115

Indications

Everyone using the "sapinit" package must upgrade in order to being able to
setup the required/recommended kernel parameter values suitable for running
SAP on the system. Version 2.0 of the "sapinit" package is a mandatory update
for all users of the "sapinit" or "suse-sapinit" package.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

The "sapinit" package has with this update been brought into sync with the version used on SLES 10 SP1.
This sync'ing is mandatory for all users of the "sapinit" package, due to the introduction of verifications of the used kernel parameter values against the recommended values from SAP just as it enables a much easier user interface for setting these parameter values in a consistent architecture independed way -- refer to the package info for a more detailed description resp. to the "README" file found under "/usr/share/doc/packages/sapinit/".
