Indications

Everyone using GDM in an untrusted environent should update.

Problem description

A remote attacker can trigger two denial-of-service attacks by exploiting two
different mechanisms in GDM. One DoS attack leads to a crash of GDM the other
one leads to a freeze of GDM.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh gdm2.rpm
