Indications

Security issue in the used libtiff library.

Problem description

kfax contains a copy of libtiff which is vulnarable against special crafted tiff files. This update removes this copy and makes kfax use the system wide library.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh kdegraphics3-fax.rpm
