Problem description

Some C++ software compiled on systems newer than SLES9 might also need newer shared libraries to be able to run on SLES9. In particular libstdc++.so.6 often is required. This update does the following:
It will add a new libstdc++-41 package providing the shared library libstdc++.so.6 . This is in addition to the pre-existing libstdc++ package, which continues to provide libstdc++.so.5.
It also will *update* your system libgcc package to libgcc-41. Both packages provide a libgcc_s.so.1, libgcc-41 just a newer version of that. It's completely backwards compatible.
Only users really requiring the new libstdc++.so.6 should install this patch, as it will break the update to SLES10 (up to and including SP1); file conflicts will occur if you attempt an update to SLES10 SP1 while libstdc++-41 and libgcc-41 are installed.
