Indications

Install if you want to use kinput2 with canna on a bigendian.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

The Japanese XIM server kinput2 didn't work at all on bigendian platforms when used with Canna as the conversion backend. This was caused by a bug in canna which is fixed by this patch.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh canna-3.7p1-31.4.i586.rpm canna-devel-3.7p1-31.4.i586.rpm
