Indications

Install this patch if you've configured to use amavisd-new for using Perl-DBI.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

The latest amavisd-new update (amavisd-new-20070130-0.5) requires perl-DBI version >=1.43 but but SLES9 provides 1.41 perl-DBI. This results in amavisd-new is not starting after applying this update when amavisd-new is configured to use perl-DBI. The subroutine which profited from the release update of perl DBI will not be used. Therefore the examination of the version is unnecessary.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

rpm -Fhv amavisd-new.rpm
