Indications

This package should be installed if the gnome soundmixer applet is
not wanted in the gnome panel when a new user logs in.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

This patch removes the entry for the gnome-mixer-applet in
the configuration schemas file for the main GNOME panel
(panel-per-panel-config.schemas).
It will no longer be part
of the panel if a new user logs into the desktop for the
first time.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fhv gnome2-SLES.rpm
