Problem description

pam_ldap
  • reworked ppolicy-patch to return PAM_NEW_AUTHTOK_REQD when the admin resetted the user's password (Bug #238674)
nss_ldap
  • nss_ldap could crash when no host or uri is configured in /etc/ldap.conf or DNS (Bug #248594)
  • Fixed a possible deadlock in _nss_ldap_initgroups_dyn(), which caused multi-thread applications to hang. (Bugzilla #214348, PADL-Bug #255)
  • Fixed crasher, when parsing nested groups of a certain size (Bugzilla: #215911)

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh pam_ldap,nss_ldap.rpm
