Important: This update is also required for later installing of SLRS8 SP4.

Problem description

This is a consolidation patch which fixes several issues for SLRS8.
Bug 90667 - Problems with hand shaking between javax-usb and a USB attached printer on a POS.
Bug 83382 - Perlmodule POSAddUser.pm was unable to add a user to a group.
Bug 82770 - Perlscript posleases2ldap.pl - problem reloading named.
Bug 84598 - setup232 file was updated by IBM.
Bug 83649 - The IBMproduct file was updated.
Bug 94562 - Using .net as country in LDAP is not possible
Bug 96050 - Named problems after install SLRS8 SP4.
Bug 96049 - Slapd problem after install SLRS8 SP4.
Bug 104328 - Perlscript posleases2ldap.pl "Can't add scRefPcDn error".
Bug 74685 - Problem on combined AS/BS.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below, or a .tgz file containing all of these updates is also available at:
http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=1p54mpxF7vc~
The following update is also recommended: perl-NetAddr-IP-3.24-1.i586.rpm

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Uvh [update].rpm
