This IBMSIS firmware update should be installed.




This update contains updated firmware images for several IBMSIS adapters, including the embedded adapters found in p655 and p615 machines. The adapter firmware image updates include several fixes and updates which affect the adapter operations and performance.
Also in version 1.19.13f is an update to the ibmsis device driver to reference the proper value in the error handling thread. An additional change to the ibmsis utilities now allows firmware updates to pSeries DASD devices while they are in use.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Uvh ibmsis.rpm
To install the updated firmware, run /etc/init.d/boot.ibmsis
after the update of the ibmsis RPM. A reboot is not necessary.
