Problem description

The bind nameserver generates predictable DNS query IDs. This could be abused by remote attackers to perform DNS poisoning attacks (CVE-2007-2926).

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh bind.rpm bind-libs.rpm bind-utils.rpm bind-devel.rpm
