Indications

Everyone using 3Ddiag should update.

Problem description

Some scripts of the 3Ddiag suite (switch2nv, switch2nvidia, 3Ddiag.ignoredb,
3Ddiag, chrc.config) handle local temporary files in an insecure manner which
may lead to local privilege escalation.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh 3ddiag.rpm
