Problem description

A format string bug in the logging callback function has been found which requires a security update.
The POP3 dÆmon crashes with a segmentation fault due to a library reentrance problem in the SASL package.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Uvh cyrus-sasl.rpm
Afterwards restart the Cyrus IMAP and POP3 services with
rccyrus restart
