Problem description

A buffer overflow in parsing the authentication part of an URL has been fixed.
The exploitation of this bug can be done remotely id mpg123 is used in
conjunction with other applications, like a web browser. Therefore the impact
of this bug is low.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh mpg123.rpm
