Problem description

rxvt, a terminal emulator, can be tricked into executing commands.
An attacker can send special escape-sequences to rxvt (MUA, irc-clients,
logfiles, ...) to trigger command execution with the privileges of the
user running rxvt.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as a RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh rxvt.rpm
