Problem description

Security Fix:
This update fixes a buffer overflow in shar while handling the '-o'
commandline option. This buffer overflow in conjunction with
other systems can be abused to execute commands remotely.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh sharutils.rpm
