Problem description

Future kernel updates will support Kernel Module Packages (KMPs). This patch contains the kernel update tool and an update to the package manager, both of which are required so that kernel updates will preserve KMPs.
This update includes a hotfix that handles descriptions with ' in them correctly.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh kernel-update-tool.rpm
