Indications

Fixes security hole in kdm with problematic pam modules.

Problem description

kdm opened a root shell for every user, when the kerberos
authentifaction failed.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh kdebase3-kdm.rpm
KDM needs to be restarted with
rcxdm restart
afterwards.
