Problem description

Security Update: This updates fixes a remote exploitable denial-of-service conditions in slapd the LDAP server daemon. It is possible to crash the daemon by providing special search strings.
Other fixes: A free() of invalid memory in the bind/unbind() code of libldap was fixed. Additionally the restart behaviour after an interupted call to select() has been corrected.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh openldap2-client.rpm openldap2-devel.rpm
