Indications

This update enables enhanced data integrity checking on the the QLogic Fibrechannel driver.

Problem description

This kernel update fixes following issue:
Update of the QLogic Fibrechannel driver to enable enhanced data integrity checking.
You only need to apply it if you use a QLogic fibre channel adapter.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh kernel-ppc64.rpm
Please run mk_initrd and lilo after the update and reboot the machine with shutdown -h now.
If you need the kernel sources you can install them by using the command:
rpm -Uvh kernel-source.rpm
