Problem description

This update fixes the following security problems in the PHP scripting language:
  • A missing open_basedir check inside chdir() function was added.
  • A tempnam() openbasedir bypass was fixed.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh mod_php4.rpm mod_php4-core.rpm mod_php4-servlet.rpm mod_php4-devel.rpm
