Contraindications

None.

Problem description

A bug in the certificate chain authentication code could allow an attacker to
authenticate any host against a FreeS/WAN server by presenting specially
crafted certificates wrapped in a PKCS#7 file.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh freeswan.rpm
