Problem description

The security fix for CVE-2005-3357 broke the earlier security fix for CVE-2005-2700. This update fixes the problem.
Additionally following bugs were fixed:
  • A bug with the "Expect" header error reporting was fixed (CVE-2006-3918), which the Apache foundation does not consider a security problem.
  • mod_proxy: Don't treat the 205 status-code like 204 or 304, per http-wg discussion:
  • mod_proxy: alteration of URIs when acting as a reverse proxy.
  • Synchronize server start and stop in /etc/init.d/apache2.
  • Slow apache module could cause excessive forking in worker MPM at startup.
