Indications

Usually, GNOME configuration servers remain running for up to 15
minutes, if a GNOME session has been ended. This package should be installed if
the GNOME servers shall be stopped immediately after ending the GNOME
session.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

This patch expands the GNOME Session script so that it will shut down the gconf
daemons and object-activation-servers
immediately after logout.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fhv gnome-session.rpm
