Indications

Everybody using the Cistron radius server should install this bugfix update.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

A buffer overflow exists in the digest calculation function, additionally a wrong attribute length calculation for the vendor specific attribute can also lead to buffer overflows.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Uvh cistron.rpm
Afterwards type 'rcradiusd restart' for the updated package to become effective.
