Indications

This package should be updated if you need to use the PAM modules pam_access.so and pam_userdb.so

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

The PAM modules pam_access.so and pam_userdb.so were not linked correctly with some libraries. Subsequently nobody is able to login if this modules are used.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Uvh pam.rpm
After installation restart all services that you have configured to use the affected PAM modules as some of the programs load the modules only once on startup.
