Problem description

This update of xine fixes a buffer overflow in the vcd input source
identifier. This buffer overflow is independent of the media format. The bug
can be used to execute arbitrary commands.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh xine-lib.rpm
