Problem description

MPlayer did not properly escape URL's when trying to request a file from a HTTP server. This allowed remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as the user running MPlayer.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh MPlayer.rpm
