Problem description

Security Fix:
This update addresses several security-related issues:
  • ext3 filesystem leaks informations
  • SoundBlaster code can cause local crash
  • another DRI issue causing local crash

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh k_i386.rpm
Please do not forget to run 'mk_initrd' and 'lilo' after updating the kernel and prior to reboot.
