Description

This update fixes the folowing memory corruption bugs within GAIM:
  • an alignment bug in libgadu (CAN-2005-2370)
  • an AIM/ICQ malformed filename crash
  • an AIM/ICQ away-message buffer overflow
For the gaim package on the SLES8-SLEC distribution only the last item applies. The two other bugs were not present there.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh gaim.rpm
