Problem description

Hardware probing (e.g. running 'hwinfo') could result in unloading the 'lp' module, effectively removing the printer device (bug #180327).
And, the assignment if BIOS drive ids to hard disks has been improved (bug #197303).

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh hwinfo.rpm hwinfo-devel.rpm
