Problem description

This update fixes a readline library OOM (out of memory) crash which happened due to wrong expansion of an escape sequence after reloading inputrc. In addition it makes prefix-meta work even if mapped onto longer escape sequences.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh readline.rpm readline-devel.rpm
