Everyone using AutoYaST should install the patch

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

The patch fixes four problems:
  • an installation workflow problem with handling of Back button in network. As a result, /etc/hosts could contain multiple entries for the same hostname.
  • module options are not setup correctly in AutoYaST.
  • fixed configuration of Altix xp interfaces using YaST
  • fixed detection of SGI, Silicon Graphics, Tigon3 NICs

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh yast2-network.rpm
