Problem description

The SuSEconfig script for postfix doesn't honor the value of SMTPD_LISTEN_REMOTE in /etc/sysconfig/mail and therefore create a config that makes postfix listen on all network interfaces.

Important note

Note that if you actually rely on postfix listening on all interfaces you need to set SMTPD_LISTEN_REMOTE=yes.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh postfix.rpm postfix-mysql.rpm postfix-postgresql.rpm
