Indications

Everyone using authentication via LDAP should update.

Problem description

This update adds a missing feature to the TLS support. Previously it was
possible that a password was sent in cleartext over the network even with
TLS support when the connection was redirected to a slave LDAP server.
This is fixed now. (CAN-2005-2069)

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fhv openldap2-client.rpm
