Indications

This update should be installed on all machines where the user wants to run
applications using the poll() system call for synchronous I/O multiplexing.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

This update fixes a bug in the syscall wrapper of poll.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh glibc.rpm glibc-devel.rpm glibc-i18ndata.rpm glibc-info.rpm glibc-locale.rpm timezone.rpm

After that you need to reboot the system.
