All users of multipath-tools should install this update.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

Several issues have been fixed with this update:
  • multipathd will not detect a recovered link
  • multipath will not detect devices with long serial numbers
  • pp_alua priority callout will not work on devices with large minor numbers
  • device-mapper output has been fixed
  • multipathd might drop log messages
  • multipathd might crash if multipath is terminated unexpectedly

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh multipath-tools.rpm
