Description

This update fixes varies problems and contains the following enhancements:
IBM code drop from 2003-11-28
  • ip_watcher: HiperSockets Network Concentrator possible stalls
  • zfcpdump: Invalid 64 bit PSWs
  • SCSI IPL and dump: To be able to use SCSI IPL and dump (zipl/zfcpdump) appropriate enablement microcode (FC9904) is required. SCSI IPL for Linux as a VM-guest requires z/VM Version 4 Release 4 (PTF UM30989 installed) or higher.
  • HiperSockets Network Concentrator: s390-tools now provide support for HiperSockets Network Concentrator (hsnc-Script), which can simplify network addressing between HiperSockets and OSA-Express.
Other changes
  • Fix path of SNMP agent directory for ucd-snmp
  • change hsnc to use sysconfig configuration style
