Problem description

A security audit of the UCD SNMP package revealed several problems, including multiple potentially exploitable buffer overflows, format string bugs, signedness issues and tempfile race conditions. Some of these might allow remote attackers to gain access to the UID under which snmpd is running. This update fixes all known problems.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Uvh ucdsnmp.rpm
