Problem description

This update fixes a remote possible denial-of-service attack that can be
triggered by odd DNS packets and results in a crash of squid
( CAN-2005-0446). It also fixes a defect of the last security update
patch ( CAN-2005-0241).

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh squid.rpm
