Indications

Everyone using CUPS should update.

Problem description

This update fixes arithmetic errors in the included xpdf code.
The bugs could be exploited by local or remote attackers by supplying
malformated PDF files to CUPS. (CAN-2004-0888, CAN-2004-0889)

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fhv cups.rpm cups-client.rpm cups-libs.rpm cups-devel.rpm
