Due to an error in this routine it occasionaly left empty runpath components, which led to the affected applications searching shared libaries in the current directory.
If a malicious user now supplied a shared library in a directory and tricked another local user into starting an affected application in this directory, this could be used to execute code.
This update fixes the underlying problem in the linker, fixed packages that are affected will be released too.
