Everyone using australian time zones in Java should update.



Problem description

This year (2006) DST continues in most of Australia for an extra week (now finishing April 2nd) due to the Commonwealth Games being held in Melbourne.
This update makes Java aware of this problem. The affected time zones are:
(GMT+10:00) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney (GMT+10:00) Hobart (GMT+09:30) Adelaide


Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh java2.rpm java2-jre.rpm
