Problem description

This update contains a fix for dia. The package contained libraries or applications having an internal empty rpath / runpath. This problem leads to programs searching shared libaries in the current directory.
If a local attacker can create such a shared library in a path where another user starts programs, he would be able to execute code.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh dia.rpm
